Whelp, it's been a couple months... time to catch up?

It can be so (completely) disruptive to talk about controversial things in spaces where that’s not the usual topic or flavor of the conversation.

But still sometimes these things need to be documented.

Maybe at least for me so (like so many other types of content I’ve been lead to create over the years) …

1. I can gather my relevant intel somewhere and find it again
2. I don’t have to repeat myself.

So I created this substack so I could have a place to put my thoughts on current events, and politics in particular, when they needed a place to land.

And not overly contaminate my other spaces.

It’s not my nature to stay in the thick of debate all day every day, it’s been a few months since I last took the time, but the investigation does happen, people do get listened to, resources bumped into and the opinions do get formed.

So here we are.

This seems to be all I have the energy to say atm … just getting reacquainted with the platform and gathering my thoughts right this sec.

Stuff that’s bubbling around (us all) -

• 2nd amendment/gun control stuff

• the Roe vs Wade Supreme Court overturn

• transgender limitations in sports

• Ukraine / Russia conflict (and related other players - Lithuania being the one that caught my attention most recently)

• geopolitics related to Taiwan / China

• the bringing back of Covid (perhaps - kinda over that, but there are some good podcasts I might oughta drop in here)

• Federal/Congressional shenanigans

• hmm what else … I’m sure I’m forgetting stuff …

Any special requests?

Well anyway …
